W.S. Slater & Co Ltd was founded by Walter Slater in 1953 at the coastal resort of Blackpool. 

 

Initially established as a manufacturer of quality rock, which today still remains at the centre of  Slater’s business activities. In 1986 the Handsworth Fudge Company was established, and is one of the UK’s premier fudge manufacturers. 

 

Slater’s are a major manufacturer of ‘sugar confectionery’ products & fudge, and have one of the most extensive product ranges available to the, gift & souvenir confectionery sector.  

 

The company is still owned by the Slater family. Slater’s still continue to maintain the high standards of quality, producing innovative products, with service levels expected from a ‘Family’ run company.
